Updating Bios with Winflash, aka the scariest PC experience in my life.

As the title says i decided to try the winflash utility, to update my bios even though i had an usb flash drive formatted and with the rom on it but i wanted to see if asus's utility would work so i do the process apparently it failed in verification so here i am sitting on a booted computer without bios on it, So i redownload the bios from asus and re do the flashing and at first it didn't want to boot but then on the second try it booted flawlessly with the 210 bios version.
So guys if you want to avoid frights like this use EZ flash from the bios.

Seconded. Never flash within Windows as there are many factors that can cause the BIOS to corrupt during flash or brick the entire computer.

When you store the BIOS ROM file on a drive formatted in NTFS, the BIOS update process may attempt to add your entire NTFS directory structure to the BIOS, leaving you with a 'brick'. So always put the BIOS ROM file in a partition formatted in FAT32, the easiest method being to format a Flash drive using the FAT32 file system.

Then be sure to use the EasyFlash utility in the BIOS for the update.
