Upcoming G750JZ series

I've been rockin my G72GX for the past 4 years and recently started to look around for a long awaited upgrade. I was on the verge of purchasing the JX-TB71, and noticed the recent announcement of the JZ with the Nvidia 880m at CES. Considering the 800 series of GPUs are more less OC'd rebrands, do you think ASUS will launch a full line supporting the 870 as well? Would love 780 or 880, but those models are a little out of my price range.

Hello, few weeks ago, there is G750JS leaked on few Australian online retailers with 870m GPU. But now all of them are offline.

I have doubts on whether to purchase G750JX now too, and few people has voiced their opinion.

Thanks for the link sir. Hit the jump to see more about the JS. I think I'll wait to see the full confirmed spec announcement from Nvidia / ASUS to see if they are going to double up the vRAM as suggested by notebookcheck.com and gpuboss.com. Based the projected improvement in gaming performance it'll be worth the wait for me. I really want get something that will meet / slightly out-preform next gen consoles for my budget. Been having some issues with my brick & battery, I hope current laptop holds out for a few more months 🙂
