I have an ASUS G750JW that I got about 1.33 years ago. I really need to do a complete reset of the machine for various reasons. I do not have a recovery disk with this machine. I have been told that I reset the machine and press F9 to go into a setup menu. Once there I am to use option to reset the machine (rather than refresh). However, when I do so I get an error message which says that a required partition is missing.
This machine came with Windows 8 and later updated itself to windows 8.1 automatically. Note that I have infact not tampered with the partitions on my machine. I have attached snapshot of how the hard drive partitions look like at present. I have put in another internal hard drive which is Drive F in the picture.
Now when the proper method failed to reset the machine I did some search and came across this on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0iEDk6n23k
I followed this method and tried to partition the drive D using easeus partition manager. However, when the computer restarts the software is unable to partition the drive and I get a message which says "message(8169) unknown error" and "there might be some error on operating partition.". I have done error checking on my hard drives and they are 100% ok.
How do I reset this laptop? Should I just get a generic windows 8 disk from somewhere and wipe out drive C completely?
Oh by the way, I have sent email to ASUS but have not recieved a reply even after 4 days.

On the ASUS website, I used Home > Support > Email Us. Then I wrote a lot of things into the text box for problem description.
Right, so the only option I have now is to use the ASUS backtracker. As you can see in the image, I still do have that 20.01 GB recovery partition. Does this mean that when I use the ASUS backtracker, in the subsequent system reset, the recovery partition will not be erased by ASUS backtracker?
By the way, why is it that I can't just take a generic windows 8 disk and install windows that way?

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.
Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, tap or click Get started.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

Just to clarify, I tried to split the D drive as per the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0iEDk6n23k but it did not succeed.
Is there a possibility to use SD card rather than USB stick with the ASUS backtracker? I have a 32 GB SD card but only a 8 GB USB stick.

So I was able to use the ASUS backtracker with the SD card, even though it seems to have treated the SD card as a USB drive. However, I was not able to boot from it. I tried changing the UEFI and secure boot options from the BIOS menu, but to no avail.
More days got wasted until I was able to go out and buy a USB stick. I used the ASUS backtracker and was able to reset the machine, finally.
Anyway, I have another question. What SSD works on this laptop? I have some SSDs in mind, atleast 512GB capacity, but am not sure if they will work on this laptop and if it will be possible to install windows 8 on such an SSD. Shall I have to use ASUS backtracker again?
