UEFI option on bios

hi all, i'm new on this forum 😄

I own an Asus G74-3DE, I noticed that there is an option in the bios on the UEFI, what is it?
Is it possible to use the graphical interface of EFI bios? is one thing that has always intrigued me 😄

Good question. I don't know much about it either, but I believe ASUS FancyStart ties into it to allow you to change the startup splash screen and further customize your bootup. To date, that hasn't interested me.

Hopefully other more knowledgeable folks will chime in....

UEFI is a BIOS replacement... like next generation BIOS, see link above.

Fancy Start allows different POST Picture and sound, which interestingly enough doesn't work if windows is uefi installed on a gpt hdd.
