Two questions about upgrading the storage

I was thinking of upgrading the 750gb wd drive That came as standard to a 1tb or 1.5 tb drive. any suggestions? the most interesting new drive out there seems to be the hgst 7k1000 but I'd also appreciate a quiet drive as long as it didn't sacrifice performance too much. I'm only planning to run games from it anyway, all my most used programs are on the 840 pro which I have the OS on.

Second question, a bit dumber this time, a 9.5mm drive will fit in the g750's standard bracket, right?

Yes, 9.5 mm drives are the standard. The 12.5 mm drives are the exception, and those will almost certainly not fit. I will say that 7200 RPM HDD's are not that loud, and you probably won't notice the increase in noise. Thus, I would recmmend the 7200 RPM 1 TB HDD over the others.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

Let me know how well it works! I have one of the original Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drives, and it is really nice, the boot times on LINUX are really fast. 😮
