Trying to find G751JT m.2 2280 mounting bracket

I have spent a lot of time with ASUS support, and they bounce me between support, service, and components departments. What I need is the mounting bracket pictured here:

I have a G751JT-CH71, which didn't come with the 2280 SSD. I bought one which arrived today and have not had any luck finding one anywhere.

If anyone has had any luck, please let me know.

You're my hero. Literally. I spent four hours being knocked around by ASUS' customer support and you saved the rest of my day.

always check that site if you need a part, even if not buying there you could provide customer supprt with an article number of the part you need and all.

shelltaur, did you visually check for a M.2 PCIE connector in the Left Bay? As far as everyone has reported so far, the JT doesn't have an M.2 PCIE x4 connector, since no JT model ships with an M.2 PCIE x4 SSD.

Even some JY owners without a Asus configured M.2 PCIE x4 SSD in their model have also reported that they don't have an M.2 PCIE x4 connector in their Left Bay either... some early units did, but after a while Asus must have started omitting that M.2 PCIE x4 connector on JY units that didn't ship with an M.2 PCIE x4 SSD.

You might want to verify before ordering all that stuff.

If you do have an M.2 connector, would you please post a photo of the Left Bay with the connector and a photo of your Box edge label with the configuration info - mask out the serial #

It would be awesome if Asus included the M.2 in new JT's 🙂

mik78, wow, that's awesome 🙂

Please post the image, if you can remove the 2.5" already installed so the angle of view clearly shows the dark connector in the cutout, or just the solder nubs for where the connector normally goes.

What country/region did you purchase? Googling that model shows Poland.

mik78, those are great photo's thank you for taking the time to take them and post them 🙂

I guess I will drive over to Fry's and see if our US G751JT's have an M.2 connector, they aren't usually in stock, but I will keep checking.

If anyone in the US with a JT has the M.2 connector, or if they have a JT that came with an M.2 PCIE SSD please let us know, from early on reports were that the M.2 connector wasn't there on JT models.

Thanks again mik78!
