Per ASUS, Thunderbolt is not shipping on any G5 series laptop until they make an announcement. Has to do with Intel getting the hardware certified. It will involve a new hardware configuration, so if you buy now you won't be able to "upgrade" or "soft-mod" your G5 laptop to get Thunderbolt.

Need to know how to restore your G75 to it's factory-like condition? Go to my step-by-step guide:

Want to download the latest drivers and utilities for your G75/G55? Go to this thread:

If only someone has accidentally run over their current G75VW and left it in tiny pieces on the driveway one could look at exactly what part is currently attached to the mini display "cough cough" port ... and see exactly what it is right now ... not doing it to my machine though!

Heh, I have a feeling that announcement will be made at Computex. I've already seen one non-ASUS Mobo that has Thunderbolt attached to it.

John - the only thing currently attached to the mini DP is the GPU. There's no other TB hardware inside current models.
