3-5k on which benchmark?

If you look at my benchmarks, I'm currently holding the #1 spot for 3DMark 11, Cloud Gate and Fire Strike for the GTX 660m. For some oddball reason, someone has a bit over 2k higher score than mine in Ice Storm. I'm guessing they were driver tweaking to ooze out more points without actually getting any real performance gains through OC'ing.

Using MSI Afterburner at +135/+1000 gives me about a 13% boost in Ice Storm, 17% in Cloud Gate, and 36% in Fire Strike. Running Kombustor plugin with MSI AB validates big improvement as well: 48 fps stock, 65 fps +135/+1000 (about the same boost as in Fire Strike).

I'm going to test this out, but is it safe to overclock my GTX 660m to +135 and +1000? I've only done the ram to +500

no, but you should do it anyway.



actually that's terrible advice. i'd ease it up in small increments like +20 at a time.
