taking off & replacing back panel

I've got 2 g75's. Taking off the back panel to access the hhds & the memory is a nightmare. Taking off is doable,
but putting it back on is a double nightmare. The tabs wont line up & I have never spent less than 10 minutes
in putting it back on. Has anyone found method to make it easier?

Guess I just got lucky the only time I've needed to remove my back panel (only had the laptop for 5 days so far). Went back on without a hitch in about 20 seconds. What scared me was pulling it off in the first place. As hard as I had to lift it to get the tabs to release, I was afraid something was going to snap off, LOL. Maybe I was doing it wrong. Makes me wish both fans had their own small access panels. I don't want to be removing the large panel any more than I have to.

Sorry I'm no help. Hope someone comes along with a good method for getting the panel back on.

Get the top tabs in first then work it along towards the right side getting those tabs in, from there push the left side in, then snap the bottom part in by pushing down hard on both bottom corners then the middle part, then screw the screw back in and your done_ I take mine off all the time and have no trouble.

And whats up with that dinky little screw? The 74 was much easier to open. I'm always worried I'm going to break off those little tabs on my 75.

I only had a problem the 1st time. I can remove it and re-install it in less than a minute. But don't try it and break the tab until you are used to doing it. Remove the lone screw. Use and old credit card or equivalent to pry along the edge that you removed the screw. Then pull up along both side and it will come fairly easy. It does get easier after a few times. To re- install slide the tabs in and verify the are lined up. Push along both edges toward the front end snapping down along the way. This method works for me.
