It's because of Nvidia Optimus. Only when a game or similar tasking program runs, the laptop will switch to the Nvidia GPU. If you got the problem of games running on the integrated graphics, then you are going to have to manually add a profile for the game in the Nvidia control panel (not GeForce Experiance).
