My G74Sx ,just came back from ASUS , for a motherboard transplant....
It failed , after using at my workplace, suddenly ,without warning,
after working flawlessly for 3 months.
Someone suggested, that it might have overheated, but now I wonder , if a power surge might have caused it's
sudden death ?
I was under the impression that , the battery filled the role of a UPS /surge suppressor.
I'm I wrong in this assumption ?
If so, I want to make sure not to give my notebook , another heart attack.
Is there a recomanded / preferred portable- mini surge suppressor for notebooks.?
