still worth buying a G751 series?

So i am wondering if is still worth buying notebooks from ASUS Rog G751 series.

why i am asking this to u???

to start the new version of the G751 have only G-SYNC Technology. same hardware as the previous model (5 months later)
if u compare ASUS G751JY-DB73X with the previous it will be almost the same

after that, it cost 3000 dolars or 2550 euros, many shops rise the cost and then sell it with 10% discont or so!
PS. that discont is just bull****. a way to trick clients

the hardware GPU and CPU are integrate on the motherboard, if one hardware burn out, u gona pay alot to repare.

i dont know if the monitor have more then 60Hz when previous models.

other companys give full possibilities to upgrade ur machine as Alienware or MSI etc.

so what u think???

PS: i dont understand if this is the way all company will take, like samsung did with integrate battery, now ASUS with integrate hardware as GPU and CPU... WTF

other thing is, this new model have one piece "model or so" to alow G-SYNC to work, but Nvidia gona release a diver that alow users who dont have the unit "model" for G-Sync to work

so u gona pay 3000 dolars or 2550 euros for a new laptop when nvidia gona release a driver for user who dont have that piece or hardware of G-SYNC

well

Slightly slower proc, but 2x the SSD storage, I would go for the G751JY-DH71 in a heartbeat, G-Sync and 100MHz isn't worth !$500USD and half the SSD storage to me.

I don't think ATR realized you had replied to your self 😉

again, just wait and see if gsync is coming or not to the older model, do not buy the older model based on the thesis that it "might" get gsync or w/e ..
waiting and making a valid decision is far more convenient and the less "oh i should have waited" thoughts will make you feel better about your purchase.

moral of the story - wait and see, do not listen to these asshats, if you have the money to spend, do what you want.

Way to contribute and on your 5th post! I can tell you will bring such insight and intellect to discourse here that the board will be elevated to new heights!

He asked for an opinion and I delivered one with reason and justification provided. Of course as an opinion everyone has one. Pay attention and think before you post please. For the record only one person (me) provided feedback not multiple people.

Good day to you.

So why i am question about the new model of ASUS. simple i am a fan of gaming "streming and Youtube gamers"

i want to buy a laptop and for a long time i aim to ASUS ROG Laptops, but until now i never saw nothing like this.

i question about the performance improve in the new model, or it will be the same and u gona pay as most as the last one

I rly like ASUS laptop but having CPU and GPU integrate to the motherboard it will make changing my decision

at this point i want a laptop with full possibilities of upgrading.

so for more 150 dolars or 133 euros i get a alianware 17 with less ram "16G" equal storage but with better CPU and the more inportant to me .... i can upgrade GPU or CPU

http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-17-r2/pd?oc=dkcwg04&id=e3d9eb7a-b6d7-4dd5-81f2-c379d3dfd1b6&c=us&...

what is ur opinion about ASUS G751 have integrate CPU and GPU?

PS: imagine if one piece of the motherboard burn, u have to pay a new motherboard with GPU and CPU right, it will cost alot!

Well you have your choices, generally its not worth upgrading a laptop as everything advances, not just the CPU GPU You can certainly do it if you want to throw that much money at it. Let us know how the Alienware works out.

get a 2 or 3 year warranty how ever you want to upgrade anyway no worries about burned out MB.
