Still using the g-sync drivers? What is your gpu temperature under ACU?

Hi to all,

I'm still using the modded gsync drivers for the g751jy and i'm very happy with it but...
Yesterday i played ACU for 1 hour with everything on ultra, soft shadows, hbao+ and after that i saw on hw monitor that my gpu reached 81° during playing...
I used to see 75°-77° max with the same driver...Don't know what happened. I played in the same room, same place, same ambient temperature...
My question: What is your gpu temperature when playing ACU with the same settings with this driver? And without this driver for those who don't use it?

Thanks

The temp is usually 75-77C, and believe me that I made thousands of tests in AC Unity. Maybe there isn't anything wrong with your GPU and it's from the game itself. I don't know if you noticed but when you leave AC Unity in the menu or while using the Map, the GPU is stressed even harder than the game itself does. What I'm saying is that you might have left your game in Map mode or in the Menu for some minutes 5-10-15mins and that's when it reached 81C. Afterwards the temps should have dropped back to 75-76.

I advise you to use MSI Afterburner OnScreenDisplay to check your temps while gaming. That will be more precise than using just a monitoring program that shows you the Max and Minimum values.

PS: I have played AC Unity with the G-Sync driver for more than 1 month, and now I'm using the 347.52 drivers.

Is there a guide on where to get the G-Sync drives and information on how to set it up/install? And is it a more better option then using Asus Ndivia drivers from the website? (If yes could you explain why?)

Also I tried looking for this MSI Afterburner but I am not sure I got the right one as I can't seem to find an option to see Temps and other information on screen.
Sorry for bumping in the discussion but it got me curious. 😃

What do these custom drivers do?

@X0ll0 : These are moddified drivers that have G-Sync enabled. G-sync is practically the best choice of screen/gpu synchronization between No Sync/Vsync/GSync. You can find more details on our beloved google about this G-Sync.

@Raffafari: You have everything explained over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTxMkx4f1ao
Unfortunately there are only 347.25 because the developer hasn't modified any of the newest drivers.

You can get more info's over here: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?57157-G751-GTX-980M-100Hz-IPS-G-SYNC&highlight=g-sync+driv...

Please try and use the search option in order to find more information about your possible questions. Thank you!

I uninstalled the g-sync drivers and tried ACU with the 347.52 and v-sync. The game runs a little bit slower but is still very playable.
Didn't change the other settings (all on max).
My max temp in the same conditions: 79°c.
And you are right NitroX, the temp gets really high during pause or in the menus.
