So i just recently(last week) bought my Asus G750JW laptop, and i must say its great, granted i was iffy about Windows 8..

But i doubt my issue has to much to do with that.. when my Computer Hibernates or i turn it off completely it will start up, show the "republic of gamers" logo and then nothing, blackness the screen is still on but black.. what am i to do?

i already turned off fast start up, and out of the three times i've tried to boot into BIOS it has not worked at all...

Ideas?

Not sure if you are still able to boot to Win8 or start the recovery/reset process to erase everything if it's an option for you right now.

It may not help, but if you can still get into Win8, don't forget to try restarting Win8 too instead of always shutting down since Win8 shutdowns don't clean everything out.

There should be better solutions, but if you end up re-imaging your hard drive, try to make sure there aren't any problems before you start adding too much software or changing any hardware.
If you create restore points before changing any software and make changes slowly, you should be able to catch any problems when they show up or undo any changes to get things working again.
I'm assuming everything will be okay after you re-do Win8 and there is some software or hardware change that is causing the problems you see.

Well, hopefully others have better ideas to solve this, but wanted to run this tedious and methodical approach by you.

i spent another 45mins on the phone with Asus earlier, and the best option send it in.. i just need it working flawlessly before August... they said they could speed up the process.. blah blah blah no promise it'll work when i get it..

i'd much rather them just take mine, replace it with the JX(with FHD 3d screen) over my faulty JW, and if the issues they have before sending it back out to me....
