SSD Benchmark Thread (post your scores)

Hello everyone,

I would like to start an thread about SSD disk's.
I would like for you guys to post your benchmarks of your SSD's, so everyone who are buying a new SSD can see for them self on wich SSD is best for them. For the rest of us who already have we can see what scores other users have and if our own ssd's are perfoming as they should or even better than they should. 🙂
I think its a very good idea.

PLEASE add info about your ssd, price, if in raid0, what you use it for and all the tricks and info, tips that u cant think of so we average users can learn something new and try to get the most of our SSD's... 🙂

U can get simple an very efective benchmark tool here: (free)
http://www.techspot.com/downloads/6014-as-ssd-benchmark.html

Or you could go with the Samsung magician built in benchmark tool, but i think it will be better if we all use the same independent program. I used both.

I have an Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB + 1TB 5400rpm HDD with 16gb of hynix RAM (i added 8 gb myself) inside G750JX.
Here are my test results with RAPID more enabled for better performance (20-50% faster):
33170

Take care

There is nothing wrong with Rapid Mode and it does bring increased performance that is noticeable. However, you stated the point of this thread was to compare performance between different SSDs. Using Rapid mode does not do this. Rapid Mode creates a cache using system ram. When running the benchmarks the data is read and written to that ram and not the drive so the results do not show the performance of the drive. Because others are pointing out this flaw is not a reason for name calling.

And there's the answer!! well damn, didn't know that was possible. Though I hadn't looked into the hybrid SSD/RAMCache like Rapid Mode.

No Turbo/Rapid, JW with 8gig ram. Feels fast to me, but you boys are getting some crazy speeds.

Enable RAPID!!! I've also got a JW with 8gb of RAM and I'm loving it. With my old PC I would turn it on, make a cup of coffee and come back to my desktop but now I turn it on and something like 12 seconds later I'm watching my favourite porn in chrome. Awesome little machines.

Mine is just as fast, just not sure I need the SSD to be faster at the sacrifice of using the RAM.
As I'm new to SSD, not sure if this would actually make anything faster or just crowd the RAM bus which I want to keep for gaming.
Probably not much of a real world difference either way for my needs.

Not sure why my results are so low in comparison, on the Samsung 840 pro.

Any suggestions?
