Squeaky Space Bar g75vx

I am having a problem with my G75vx space bar squeaking or chirping loudly as I type.

I have now been through 3 G74 laptops, each with squeaky space bars. My 1st G74 I returned immediately because of a dead keyboard back light and squeaky space bar. The second unit I returned because of a squeaky space bar and touchpad problems. And my current G74 also has a squeaky space bar and touchpad issues even after sending it in for an RMA.

The RMA process was quite painless. It was sent from IL to the CA service center. I got my laptop back in about 2 weeks. A message in my package stated that they replaced the touchpad assembly and keyboard. The space bar was silent for about 3 days (of bliss) before it started squeaking again. And the touchpad issue persists.

I searched the forums for this issues and found a thread where someone was having this same issue with the g74. It looks like that issue went unresolved.

Is anyone having this issue? Or had it resolved?

I will contact ASUS tomorrow and report back here if I receive any kind of closure on this issue.

My G75VX's space bar is pretty squeaky I think because I play a lot of PC games on it 🙂

My space bar too! I have a new laptop, pure garbage ... too much money for that to happen!
