Spare AC Charger - original or copy

Hi,
I want to get a spare ac charger for my lappy to leave in my office.
the original ones are expensive even on fleabay.
there are some generic copy ones listed but the reasonably priced ones, about $20, are lower rating.
the original one is 19.5V, 9.23A
the copy ones are also 19.5V but 6.5A
They have sold several already so I assume they work ok.
If charging is slower thats no problem but is it likely to overheat?
Anyone got one of these?

Given the cost of these laptops, and the huge amount of power they draw under load, I wouldn't trust any 3rd party adapter of the same rating, maybe one with 20% higher rating, but I don't know if any exist.

How about you post some links and we can take a look.

I wouldn't risk my home/laptop to a cheap power adapter 🙂

You must have the same power rating, because those laptops will draw the full power rating of the original charger when charging the battery while running at full load. That lower-rated charger won't handle it, and will overheat, which is dangerous. Those 3rd-party knock-off adapters are fine for basic laptops (cheap to replace, and no special components), but not for a high-end gaming system like your G750.
