Hi. I have notebook G46VW and it is something strange with its processor. When it is running on battery power everything is good. Turbo boost is working and max core speed is about 3180 Mhz, multiplier is x32. CPU Usage cans reach 80-90%. But then i use battery charger turbo boost stops working, max core speed is about 1200 Mhz, multiplier is x12 and that everything doesn't change. CPU Usage reaches max 49% and doesn't increase. In both variant of electricity supply i used such power sheme as Power4gear high performance. Also i added 2 screens from CPU-Z.

that sounds backwards one would think. check your power option in the control panel. set it up the same as your battery settings.

I did everyting that you said, but nothing changed. I also reinstall Windows 8 and nothing has changed again

So I see you are using Power4Gear?

1. Open to the Power4Gear Hybrid console
2. Click Performance
3.
Click plugged in
4. Click Advanced settings
5. Set Maximum processor state to 100%
6. Set Minimum processor state to 100%
7. click save

Check and see if settings in the Power4Gear Hybrid console are as above.
You should be good to go with these setting.

i'm thinking BIOS here?

GottiBoi55 what do you think? I haven't seen a case where the cpu underclocks on power.

Its usually the other way around.

Other than that send it to the experts.

a weird case.

what if you try uninstall power4gear and use the power settings from windows only? (by choosing high-performance power option, and make sure the cpu power management is set to 100%)
