[SOLVED] G751JY Win10 issue: when you try to resume from Sleep mode it will reboot

So here is the problem here:
when I put my G751JY into sleep mode and then try to resume the system will simply reboot, no BSOD or other errors, just reboot. Then I'll find in the Reliability monitor that "Windows has been shut down incorrectly"...
The reboot is so fast and immediate I didn't notice at the beginngin (I've SSD only) the OS crashed.

Still immature drivers or bugs in Windows 10? Can other confirm?

Workaround ATM: set "Allow hybrid sleep". This will resume, but sleep process will be slower of course.

Hi, i have the exact same issue with my G551JM.
i don't have a solution yet.

It looks like ASUS need to provide us new BIOS for Windows 10, or help Microsoft find a solution.
I've read Windows 10 preview builds had some issues with power-states, but thought they were totally solved...

i don't think so.
i tried to downgrade to clean 8.1, and the issue still exists!
i did "ghost / clonezilla" before upgrading just in case.
i restored it ( in sectors level ), and the issue still exists, same os, same drivers, same data, same same same.

i don't know what to do, and microsoft don't know what's wrong, because it's not an excaption that windows can catch and dump ( BSOD ),

i'm sorry about my english and hope you'll understand me.

G751JY came with Win 8.1, and Sleep always worked as expected. Since the Win 10 update it now performs a cold-reboot instead of waking up from Sleep mode. Hibernation, or if I manually set Hybrid sleep do work.

Sleep mode is unusable and broken in Win 10 on G751JY with BIOS 208. It's exactly the same as forcing a sudden shut-down keeping pressed power button, which is bad for Windows stability and can lead to OS corruption...
Useless Help Desk told me to wait for future Windows Updates (!???)

@amitabitbul
Are you suggesting Win 10 changed something in the BIOS and now even on your restored old Win 8.1 backup, sleep mode doesn't work?

yes, it worked before the upgrading.
if ill find a solution i will share it.
i'm trying to debugging windows and hope i'll have some results.
so far it looks like the windows 10 upgrading changed something in the low level (and it shouldn't), BIOS level etc...

i didn't tried to flash the BIOS firmware and i'm not sure it will change something.

Microsoft and Asus needs to co-op to solve this critical issue.

Yes, exactly!

Mmmh, instead of BIOS it could have something to do with the SYSTEM 100MB partition used for the Windows 10 pre-boot.... Did you restore the whole HD backup or just your old windows partition?

The whole disk.

Oh... that's scary then since the restore should have been EXACTLY the same, where Sleep mode did work fine...
You saved me the trouble with the same attempt...
Could Win 10 really alter BIOS settings??

I don't know, and i tried everything.
I think one of us need to flash the BIOS fw to answer on your question.
