Shift + E + SPACE = NOTHING?

So after the multiple problems I've had with this laptop and having yet to use it for its intended purpose I managed to sit down and play some RUST today while I'm traveling. I haven't tested it with all keys but currently when I press Shift + E the space bar is unresponsive. This is a major issue since i prefer to use a more natural ESDF instead of WASD so while gaming if I am sprinting I can not jump.

Does anyone have a solution for why my Space becomes unresponsive while holding shift + E ? This happens when I boot into safe mode or into console so it's not a driver or software issues.

Just an update on this, the ASUS repair facility completely failed to even address this issue while in for service. I've got a good feeling here they are going to refuse to fix the problem.

ASUS repair would just normally swap defective parts to solve any issues, but I'm seeing the same problem on my G751JT test unit, so don't expect they can solve it on their own unfortunately.

I'm hoping if enough people send the unit in for the problem though, it can get some priority, but not really sure if that will happen for this case (sorry for being negative, but want to be realistic too).

Anyway, I want to look into it a little more on my end, but if it's of any interest, I believe (right) shift + E + space is working, but I know this is of no help really since you can't game this way.

I believe an external USB keyboard will not show this problem either if it means anything, but will let you know if I can come up with anything better on my end for this.

So basically ASUS has sold a laptop with a defect that they are unwilling to acknowledge, repair, replace, or refund the end user?
How would you feel about purchasing a 1500 dollar laptop that was defective and the supplier was unwilling to replace, repair or refund you for your purchase?

Regardless, you are correct when you say that this only affects the left shift and an external keyboard is not affected but I didn't pay 1500 dollars for a laptop so I could carry around an external keyboard oh and lets also toss in the WIFI problems too so I need a USB WIFI card too so I can solve those problems. Also the demo unit at my store is affected so that makes 4 units that I know of that have this issue.

ASUS tech support is no longer answering my emails and basically is washing their hands of this.

Buy ASUS at your own risk, if your product fails you will most likely not receive support.

thanks, I wont have to waste my time at a useless repair center now

8 years later and now I too am experiencing this goddamn hardware bug on my FX506LH laptop, if either 2 of shift/space/E is pressed the third key becomes unresponsive. (rebinding the inputs to other keys work just fine, it only happens on those 3 physical keys)
