powerchord84, does it flicker when you are typing, or while it is idle sitting quietly, or both?
If you tap on the screen or the base with 2 fingers to induce a mild vibration can you induce the flicker?
Does it rapidly change brightness higher/lower, or does the screen flicker to black in between?
It isn't good that it is doing it, best would be to take it back to the seller and swap for another one...when in the Bush return to seller might not be convenient, so you might want to file a Technical Inquiry with Asus to log the problem with them, for eventual RMA when you are able to ship it out for RMA and receive it back.
https://vip.asus.comIf it is sensitive to tapping / vibration induces the flicker, you could find someone there with the talent to pull the chassis parts and re-seat the LCD cable - it might not be clicked in all the way.
