Safe Temperature limit for GTX770M? (G750JX)

I'm currently doing some benchmarking to overclock my G750JX (GTX770M), at the moment I am able to increase my core clock speed by +135MHz and memory clock by +500MHz (using MSI Afterburner) with average temps of 80C to a max of 83C. Looks like I got lucky in the GPU draw.

I would like to ask the people who tend to overclock their laptops (particularly G750JX 770M), what is the maximum safe temperature that you guys are hitting/stopping at for the purpose of everyday gaming/travelling? Is my current temperature too hot or just right?

As long as you don't defeat any of the temperature protections, the laptop will throttle performance when overheated - I have run for days at 100% CPU / 100% GPU at highest stable OC on the JW/JX/JHA, and no overtemp protections have kicked in. 🙂

100C junction temp for the CPU, the laptop will throttle before that is reached.

I couldn't find a specific GTX7xxm spec, but a similar Kepler chipset from Nvidia has these specs
GPU temp 96C at MAX TDP, shutdown temp 101C

URgreatGRANDMA, unlock your BIOS? Do you mean vBIOS? 88c CPU or GPU?, it's not too hot for either 🙂
