ROG G771JW Performance Issues

Hi, there are a few issues I need help with. Due to poor researching, I ended up with G771JW as my first and newcomer to gaming laptops. I'm new and may seem noob.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4720HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59GHz
16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)
64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor
Windows 10
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M

Games played:
1. Dota2
2. CSGO
3. FIFA15
4. The Wticher 3
5. GTA V
6. Borderlands: Pre-Sequel

IMO not all these games are demanding except for the last 3. The common issue faced here is stuttering. I play all of them with high performance power management.

The issues faced:
1. Stuttering
Bought G771JW for months, never noticed the issue due to work. Been playing Dota2 and never noticed the prob until I played The Witcher 3. For those months I've been playing Dota2 on highest settings and it stutters throughout the game. Now that I've more time, it annoys me that GTX960M cant support Dota2 on lowest settings without it stuttering every 10 secs or so. The FPS is high but the game constantly jumps from 120 to 80+ (w/o Vsync), 60 to 30+ (w Vsync). Not just Dota2, it literally stutters across all the games I play. So I'm wondering if the issue is on my rig or some settings configuration will help solve it.
For The Witcher 3, the game is playable after I follow the settings in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKWEKGSHdwo but the game still stutters whenever the game switches from game menu to the gameplay. Its like the GPU cannot handle the switching from 400+ FPS to 30+ FPS.
As for GTA V, the stuttering occurs (with or without Vsync) in the initial stages of the game then it gradually smoothens but it does not disappear. Video settings are well below the game suggested limit hence should be performing smoothly.

I have tried a lot of solutions given online and still no good. I've updated my graphics drivers, latest BIOS update, even tried uninstalling Nvidia and reinstalling from the Asus website shown in https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?74094-Asus-ROG-G771JW-FPS-Jumps/page4

2. GPU usage jumps
I'm using MSI Afterburner and notice the jumps during gameplay is very frequent. Will this be the issue that is making the gameplay stuttering?

3. Overheating
As of now I have yet to feel the vast disturbance from overheating. Most of the demanding games will take my GPU temp to 84-85(°C) max. I'm thinking of getting a cooler pad but it's difficult as G771JW has but only one vent for air inflow. Any suggestions from you experts?

4. Performance with battery
This one is a weird one. Naturally, a laptop would be performing better plugged in correct? Well mine performed quite poorly plugged in. However, my rig performed rather smoothly with battery while plugged in. Stuttering is rare whenever I insert battery and the gameplay improves right away. But Dota2 still stutters like a low-end laptop. Is this possible or is there anything in settings that is causing this?

Just a brief response. I don't own one of these machines so I cant tell you all the specifics.
What I can tell you is don't expect stellar performance from a 960M GPU, its not the bottom of the barrel out of all GPUs but it is in the lowest performance bracket for ROG.

If you are getting to 85C on your GPU you are running hot. I've never seen any of my ROG laptops go past 70C

You would probably fare better by posting your issues in a thread that you already found that is 4 pages long with the same issue noted instead of staring a new one.
