They didn't seem to like the design of the keyboard and the Skylake performance. Otherwise, everything else is pretty much the same as the 970m G751... except for the price.

My Eurocom X9 is much better, but I will also purchase a G752.

wow....not exactly a glowing endorsement

I have asus rog jt.
I love the Black Design (Way More Professional, Gold Can Be Great) and SkyLake Doesn't Seem to give the laptop Any Better gaming performance than i7 4720. The Only advantage is The G Syn.
And its unreasonably more pricey for a worse design.
Maybe it will be appealing for new owners but not me, it works as it is suppose 2 but There is some thing JT Did better including the black design.

I watched that video a few times and I'm getting a bias read n his review. I may be wrong.

He says the machine has a great screen and it's G sync ready, a plus no doubt.
He goes on to complain about the ability of the 970M card to keep up with Crysis on ultra settings when he has to know no machine will play well with a 970M card on ultra. And the game "bought the laptop to it's knees" on ultra settings. When I hear things like that somethings wrong with the mind-set of the reviewer. He continues to say however that Crysis will play well with the game on high or medium settings. Why bring up the ultra setting at all? For a 970M card?
He continues that the test machine he had was reasonably priced but getting an older model is better by $200.00 I don't know. that's like a right handed handshake while you punch with your left.

His take on the design is purely subjective based on what he thinks is good design...personally I think the design rocks. It's a complete 180 degree turn around for Asus and I applaud their taking the risk to make their laptops stand out from the rest.

My concern is the build quality...he says it doesn't live up to the previous models high standards...this is something we all have to be concerned about. I'm looking forward to other reviews on this.

3 1/2 stars? Come on!

I agree. I was also a bit perplexed about his Crysis comments. Maybe he expects a perfect 50fps.
As for the design comments, I'm inclined to agree somewhat. I do wish Asus had stuck with this bezel design:

And I didn't share the other review cause I found it rather suspect - no photos or benchmarks?

We can have a true review only from our fellow ROG g752 owners ...well the review does indeed say true about the battery downgrade from 88 to 67 Watthr but
"CrystalDiskMark, a hard drive benchmark, returned sequential read speeds of 559 megabytes per second and sequential write speeds of 156 megabytes per second from the system’s Samsung-built NVMe solid state drive."
well thats pretty slow, driver problem ?

Digital trends review shows that the fire strike score is the same as jt and i7 skylake as strong as i7 4720hq even a bit weaker skylake than 4720.
Asus g752 doesnt offer Any diffrence but g syn and diffrent design and more pricier.

Yes its worth it but only if g751 is not available in the market cause g751 is less pricier and have a black design in case you prefer that not half gold half black design worse battery.

Vt is not a faulty laptop by any means. Its good for news owners and downgrade for old.

I haven't seen or tested the new G752 myself, but from the review my worst expectations came true. Te G752 is just a rebrand of the G751, it only changes the exterior color of the chassis and a new CPU. So for this "upgrade" I would not suggest people to buy it, stick with the G751, way cheaper and maybe you find a G-Sync version for a good price now that the G752 is out.
Asus did the least it could do, not enough for my opinion....G752 is a rebranded G751. Same stuff with worse price.
SO:
-If you alredy have G751, no sense to upgrade to G752.
-If you are considering to buy a new desktop replacement now and didn't settle for G751, at this point do yourself a favor and wait 1 year and buy new tecnology when it comes out (new version of Nvidia GPU)
