Replacement keyboard keys this is possible

Ok, I had a" J" that the cap kept coming off! I bought a replacement key from Here it came with 3 parts the J cap the Hinge connector and the rubber rebound piece. There instruction on changing out a key could be better. However I was able to change this key out in about 5 minutes or less. So repairing keys on these G series NB is possible, the only way they won't work is if the metal tabs that hold the hinge in place are broken off and missing. I had to adjust one of these tabs to get a better grip on the hinge. I have magnifying goggles so I was able to do this easily.

Thought I would pass this information on as I remember in the past there didn't seem to be any way to fix a bad key except to RMA to the service center.

BTW to remove a key cap pop up the top edge then the bottom edge will come unhooked.

yes, you can replace KB key by youself and try many ways to fix, i suggest user sent to RMA, if you still in warranty, others if you want to replace KB and won't sent to RMA, you can visit our website as http://us.estore.asus.com/ then type your laptop model name like G46, G55, G75, you can see KB in list.
