Remove built in keyboard

Hey all,

So last week i spilt soda on my keyboard causing it to not function properly. I connected an external USB keyboard to it and was using that. Just today it seems like my laptop has a few keys that my computer is recognized as being pressed. I can't log into my computer now because i can't type anything even with the external USB. Is there a way to quickly disconnect or disable the built in keyboard so my computer only recognizes the USB keyboard?

i suggest you take to computer shop to do it or send to service center to check it.

Sounds like you have further damage beyond the keyboard RMA is your best bet. Otherwise check out this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9KHrJKInmA

I concur with Clintlgm. If it's not recognizing keystrokes from your external keybaord, you've got more issues on your hands than just your keyboard being a little busted up.

My recommendation is that your RMA ASAP. If that soda got to your motherboard, it'll wreck serious havoc. (And I would know. Had to toss a nice Acer due to family spilling soda on it.)
