Quick questions on SSD install on G75VW

I'm trying to help a friend install an Intel 520 SSD to his new G75VW. I used macrium reflect to clone the 1TB HDD to the SSD. After that was done, we removed the original HDD and tried to boot to the SSD. The BIOS sees the SSD but the boot options are greyed out and the laptop just keeps booting right to the BIOS. I only cloned the OS partition and unchecked the rest. What did we do wrong? The SSD and the BIOS have the latest firmware.

If I go into the BIOS under SATA configuration the SSD shows under Port0 yet I still cannot boot to it or even choose it by bringing up the boot menu with esc.

It may not be set to boot, try using the Automatic Startup Repair by booting to the Windows disc...

This is with Windows 8 so there is no media available.

You can download a Windows 8 64-bit Repair Disc .iso here:
