Hi again, thanks for all your suppport ROG.

I have a G750JX Win8.1 , and i'm wondering if the Windows update is correct in that
its suggesting i download the following:

- ASUS - Other hardware - ASUS Wireless Radio Control
-nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3, Other hardware - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770m
-Qualcomm Atheros - LAN - Qualcomm Atheros AR8171/8175 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30)
-Qualcomm Atheros Communications - Bluetooth Controller - Bluetooth Module

I personally will not update the Asus wireless radio control or the Bluetooth controller, but what about the Nvidia and Qualcomm
LAN. What are these updates for? And Should i update the 2 i mentioned. And because they are mentioning an update
do i need to go to their website and download the correct update? Please correct me

Thanks, Chris. Y

Right click on those driver updates and hide them! you never want to do any driver update through Windows Update.

Since the ASUS Drivers team is too lazy to post the updates on our specific laptop support section, I will do their lazy work!!!!!

Here are the correct versions for your:

ASUS Wireless Radio Control 1.0.0.3

Atheros AR8175 LAN Driver 2.1.0.21

Atheros AR9485 WLAN Driver 10.0.0.274

Qualcomm Atheros BlueTooth Driver 8.0.1.312

Intel Management Engine Interface 9.5.14.1724
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Intel Chipset Drivers 9.4.0.1027

After you download the *.ZIP File, copy the folder you extracted to C:\ and rename the folder to chip.

Now, right click on the Windows 8.1 Start Menu button and choose Command Prompt (Admin)

Type CD\ then hit Enter

Type cd chip then hit Enter

Type setup.exe -overall -overide then hit Enter.

This command will install the full Intel Chipset Drivers not just the components that are missing. This is very essential.

THANK YOU SIR! so much 🙂 God bless you 🙂 that was my first reaction :). Now for the 5 you listed first what do i do with them?
Also after the ---- theres intel chipset drivers, does what you say after that apply for all the 5 above? or is 'After you download the zip'' and so
on, apply to only the chipset. Im a noob at this as you know by now, sorry. And thank you

Ok, here are more detailed instructions for you

1) Start by downloading the Intel Chipset Drivers above after the ---------

Then install them using the method above it looks complicated, but it isn't if you follow the steps slowly

2) Restart after the installation is done

3) Since we used the -overall command to install the new Intel Chipset Drivers above, so it would over write the IRST Driver (Intel Rapid Storage Technology), so what you need to do is download the latest IRST Drivers::

IRST 12.8.0.1016

Extract that Zip folder, then right click on PNPINST64.exe and choose Run As Administrator to install the driver, then reboot after it prompts you

After the reboot, go into that same IRST Driver folder, then right click on IRSTPatch.exe and choose Run As Administrator

4) Now let's do this one by one, uninstall the Qualcomm Atheros WLAN Driver, then uninstall the Qualcomm Atheros LAN Driver from the control panel > Programs and features

5) Uninstall the Bluetooth Driver, restart when prompted.

6) Download and install the remaining drivers from the 2nd post in this thread and install them, order of installation here is not important
