Question about ROG 5090 high amp lights

I just got Asus ROG astral and ran some benchmarks. During 100% load I see red lights going off right where the power supply 12 pin port is (usually only on one side). I’ve check GPU tweak software while benchmark is running and some of the pins amp goes to around 9-12 amp. Below 8 amp the light doesn’t come up. Is this normal? Has anyone seen similar situation? Pls guide.

The red lights near your GPU's power connector at high amperage (9-12A) typically indicate a power delivery concern or a warning from the card, rather than normal operation under full load.

You should carefully check that all PSU connections are secure, ensure your FFU power supply unit (PSU) is adequate and functioning correctly, and consult your specific ASUS ROG Astral GPU manual or ASUS support to understand the exact meaning of those diagnostic LEDs.

Hi @getel0 The Power Detector + feature and LED will notify you if one or more pins exceed 9.2A.

Check the 12VHPWR cable is fully seated at both ends and consider replacing it if the issue persists.
