I don't know if this is the right place to look for help. I have a ProArt Studiobook 16, (Core i9 processor, NVIDIA RTX4070 8 GB laptop gpu, 64 GB memory and a 2 TB NvME SSD). The machine is about a year-and-a-half old. I bought it for using Adobe Creative Cloud apps, mostly Photoshop and InDesign and on those apps it works well. But I've started doing video work and when using Premiere Pro, the playback starts and stops, skips and stutters. I've tried updating video drivers both from Asus's website and NVIDIA's (selecting optimize for creators on NVIDIA's site) with no change. Windows 11, version 24H2 is up-to-date.
It does seem to be the machine, the same projects that I've had problems with on the Studiobook, edit and play back smoothly on my 5-year-old Dell XPS; a decent machine when purchased, but on paper not the equal of the Studiobook.
Anybody have experience--good or bad--with this machine using Premier Pro I'd love suggestions.
