possible to upgrade from DVD rom to BluRay?

I own the G75-NS71 and it just comes with a regular DVD-rom. Can I upgrade or purchase a BD? Does it void my warranty?

If yes, you can upgrade:

What type of BD rom can I use that would fit that tray?


If no, it will void my warranty:

Can I run it through ASUS service center to do it for me?

Yes you can and it wont void your warranty. You just remove your bottom cover that covers the memory and drives then remove one screw that holds the dvd drive in and it slides out. Then you just put the faceplate from the stock drive to the new drive and its done.

I use a Panasonic UJ-240. I picked it up for $45
