https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?82612-G-SYNC-Upgrade-on-ROG-G751JY-JT-Laptops-Now-Availabl...

Hello all,

Asus seems undecided on whether they're going to allow official G-SYNC support on the existing G751's purchased before now (? - I don't know the official date, they just said this month I believe).

Please "sign" this petition by posting... even if you don't think you'll need the feature, you'll want it someday, trust me.

ASUS: Even if there are licensing fees involved or whatever, if that is indeed the reason you wouldn't offer it to existing owners.. then at least let us pay the fee for it! Something... anything!

The amount of brand-loyalty to be gained from giving this feature to existing owners would build more goodwill than you're imagining. Market it! Tell the world that you were the first to give this major support release to existing owners!

Thanks!

Where you explain it many times? Not in this forum... more info about nftools please? must vsync set on or off or...?

I explain in the past, on the website and partially on the forum, forget about G-tools. More info about NF Tools, check the website, there is plenty info, I'm not going to rewrite everything.
Vsync on or off, it doesn't matter, as I said, it is an extra layer that help a lot to improve tearing/cut line and input lag/stutter issue.
I think you are too demanding, I'm sorry but I'm not NVIDIA or neither Asus, I provide a tool to provide a real solution that is not linked to specific hardware.
I already provide enough work in the past to move on into other stuff that are more helpful for the users, I explaining well see where it goes and depending what's going, work will be more specific and more interesting.
I don't force you to use neither tool from the past, neither tool from now, I recommend to not use G-tools that will make conflict with NF tools, simple as that and also you are free to try, there is not geforce experience bloatware, scam and co, it is a lite tool that mostly work with Kernel Driver (in low-level) to provide the best of your GPU.
Also I won't anymore answer here about NF tools or past work, it is not the right place for that.
A ban from ASUS was enough to keep me away from here, so I just make new account to provide help but not really communicate about anything related to my work. Sorry

I didn't find the information on the website, so I ask here:
When a new nvidia driver comes out, what should I do with NFtools?
Uninstall it then udpate the Nvidia drivers then reinstall it?

I answer this question to the website, I also precise to remove NF Tools first, remove old GPU drivers, install new GPU drivers and install NF Tools again.
Do not use NF Tools on top of old G-tools or old NF Tools, always remove NF Tools before installing new one or new drivers.
NF Tools should work with every GPU drivers, every OS starting Windows 7, it work for X64, if you have a problem with the 32bits version of Windows, one can be made for it.
Last question I answer here, like I said, the ban in the past without any reason keep me away from here.
Thank you

hi! where can i download NF tools again? can anyone pm me the link? thanks!

I've done some testing, With/without (last NVIDIA Driver) and so far everything works perfectly! everything is much more smoother no bugs or issues,
I didn't see much gain in fps (variable in testing) but i guess this tool isn't here to do so don't hesitate guys.
It even works great with the custom vbios i'm using on the 970m, i managed to tune it up a bit more, and the best thing is my temps lowered 5°C

I'm really happy with this tool and i'm never going back to g-sync now you should try it really!!
Glad i came to the forum today

And I can't see any difference. Before NFtools: Using old 347.88 driver, I have disabled gsync. forced vsync off...tested Haeven Benchmark 4.0 vsync off - windowed mode (not fullscreen) 1600x900 and get FPS 61 + 1537 score... then I have uninstalled g-tools, and the old driver. Installed new one 361.43... tested and again FPS 60,6 + 1527 score (no difference)... So the third step - I have installed NFTools ... And!? The same NO difference FPS 60,6 + 1526 score.

But what is worse? I don't have 75Hz native refresh setting now, I aslo used to set 100Hz. So I have set non standard 100Hz and re run the tests - this time with Vsync on... and I still get the same results as with the old 347.88 + g-tools and Gsync/vsync enabled: 56,8 + 1430 score...

So nag please explain - where is the difference? I tried but can't spot any?

I will try testing with real fullscreen mode to comapre... Maybe there is some difference? Nab if you won't post some proves... that there is no tearing any more with vsync off and there is no stuttering at vsync on... how can one now it is not the placebo effect? And please prove it using some free benchmark tools (not the games that major part of us do not own to test).

EDIT:
Hmm, the first impressions with The Wither 3 is very promising. Refresh set to 100Hz, gone to the real fullscreen, vsync off, FPS limit off - and the game is very smooth - can't spot tearing... All set to ULTRA
