Hello,
G750JZ’s thermal module is designed for under 3.4 GHz. So if you would like to do overclocking to 4.0 GHz, it may trigger over temperature protection and your laptop will shut down. As a result, we would not suggest you to do extra overclocking to your G750JZ.
Thanks.

Can't do it on that model, on a G752 you can potentially if you take out the bottom plate and place it on top of a perforated platform with positive pressure of cold air going into the fans.
