Hello,

I was wondering how you performed the upgrade? Did you uninstall the old driver or just run the install for the new one directly and let it figure out everything and upgrade in place?

Thanks

Always wise to do uninstall before reinstall with video card drivers (beta or non beta).

Nvidia has uninstall as part of the setup program these days so it's way easier.

Does the nVIDIA uninstall really remove all the driver files and dlls and registry entries or must one use driver sweeper?

I'm just curious, is there any more feedback on this driver? Has anyone had to uninstall and go back or is this driver a home run?

Thanks

If you choose "Custom Install" and then check the "Clean Install" checkbox in the NVIDIA installer, it will do a good job of removing the current NVIDIA driver. However, other drivers, such as those in Antivirus programs can interfere with UNinstalls and installs of drivers, so I will always boot into Windows Safe Mode to disable the Antivirus and other 3rd party drivers for the best chance of installation success.

Driver has known issues with FFXI and FFXIV.

Haven't seen any other widespread problems in any other games.
