Droped my score in 3d mark vantage from p13899 to P12386 on 660m with same OC. Did NOT lower temps nor did it have any other negative effects that I can see.

I didn't get any changes in performance in the benchmarks themselves, but the difference in idle temperature was huge and instantly noticeable. I'm going with 310.90. 😄

Did anyone notice that there is a new video graphic driver available for the G75XV on the ASUS website?

I will try it later at home.

I saw it too it is 307.07 nvidia driver it detects 670mx but old too compare to 310.70/310.90

I am wondering why is it so? Also the drivers listed at the ASUS site are larger (about 250 megs) vs 180-190 at the Nvidia's site.

Are the Asus-listed drivers run through Microsoft? If so, then I believe that's because they've been modified. My understanding is Microsoft edits GPU drivers to run OpenGL less efficiently, so users believe DirectX is better than it actually is. The drivers supplied by NVidia should be fine.

Oh, and if it's the G75VX with the 670MX, Asus has edited the driver themselves because of a customized GPU.

Hi All;
Is anybody tried to this update?

http://rog.asus.com/notebook/17-inch/g75vx/

Maybe from there you can instal Nvida's newer driver "V9.18.13.0707" its not latest update but maybe with that update we can solwe our some gpu issues...
