I have the G750JH 3D edition laptop and I had the same problem as you had but I found a solution and solved the problem.
1- Download driver sweeper (or any other program like it)
2- Manually download the latest driver from nvidia site, but don't download it from Nvidia Geforce Experience
3- Boot youre laptop in safe mode
4- Delete youre old graphics driver with the driver sweeper program and select the first option"restart after uninstal" (best recommended option)
5- After rebooting again (and still in safe mode) run the install driver as Administrator (by right click to it and select run as administrator)
6- Boot in normal mode and all should work normally and youre up to date now.
Hope this helps as it worked for my 3D G750JH.

I would add that you should disable your network before uninstalling so when you boot again into normal mode Windows doesn't download it's own new driver in the background while you are trying to install the already downloaded package - happened to me 🙂

For those who installed this, note you can now stream to twitch.tv via Shadowplay. I personally don't (only ever used Shadowplay to record gameplay locally a few times), but if you're interested, try it out.
