None of the recovery disks Win7 forces me to burn will boot

Using Win7 not Win8! Need to get back to a previous Win7 set-up that was more stable using my own system image (not F9 factory restore). Before allowing a full system restore Win7 forces you to create DVD recovery disks. But my self-made DVD Recovery Disks won't boot, no matter what BIOS settings I choose. I keep getting 'Non system Disk' type errors at boot time etc. This all seems crazy especially with the other partitions intact. If the computer can F9 self-restore without a recovery disk why doesn't a specific image restore work...

#1. As an alternative, does anyone have solid simple instructions to create a bootable USB for a G75?

#2. I may have lost the system image I need, but I have an image from a 2nd G75, will that work?
I'm thinking probably no without some sort of SysPreping tool... Any thoughts on this?

Hi Mike_Lu

>are your os from win 7 to win 8?
Win8....?! God no, I'm self-mutilating enough using Win7, Win8 would be the death of me!
No, I need to get back to a previous Win7 set-up that was more stable, using my own Win7 system image.

>you mean press F9 can not work?
Holding down F9 puts the machine into semi-automated factory restore, but it doesn't help me boot off the DVD recovery disk so I can restore my own system image!

Any ideas?
