there is anew utility for the g55 at the download site..can someone tell me what is it and it is essential to download? please and thank you 🙂

Google search is your friend ( ok well at least a tool ).

Looks like some kind of clone/copy of dropbox aka "cloud storage" ... so no you don't need it.
