New G752 Prices...umm...Yikes?

I've been checking out a lot of sites about pricing of the new G752's coming out this month and I gotta tell ya if what I'm seeing is true I'll be looking into MSI

I don't mind paying list price for a new laptop release but some of the prices are really high. I trust Asus will not take advantage of us loyal followers and "maybe purchasers" of their new product.

We want the latest and greatest but we have limits to what we expect to shell out for a new laptop with a new skin with basically the same specs as the older machines.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep my wallet in my pocket for now...we will see

ASUS...DON'T SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT WITH THIS....PLEASE

I wouldn't go for IC Diamond in a laptop, personally. A phase-change metallic alloy (like Indigo XTreme or even a cheap lump of Indium-bearing solder) would offer a much more robust thermal interface in a mobile unit which sees a lot of bumping around and not a lot of frequent internal servicing. I haven't seen any takeaparts for G752 models yet, but I expect Asus uses it's usual pink TIM goop and cheapish groove-wicked heatpipes as the primary cooling mechanism - upgrading to (more costly) sintered copper heatpipes would significantly improve cooling efficiency, especially if the laptop isn't always perfectly horizontal while in use.

Don't know much about those MSI uber laptops except that they apparently get really, really hot.
