New G752 Prices...umm...Yikes?

I've been checking out a lot of sites about pricing of the new G752's coming out this month and I gotta tell ya if what I'm seeing is true I'll be looking into MSI

I don't mind paying list price for a new laptop release but some of the prices are really high. I trust Asus will not take advantage of us loyal followers and "maybe purchasers" of their new product.

We want the latest and greatest but we have limits to what we expect to shell out for a new laptop with a new skin with basically the same specs as the older machines.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep my wallet in my pocket for now...we will see

ASUS...DON'T SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT WITH THIS....PLEASE

Yeah...it's not as bad as I thought. I don't think
ASUS ROG G752VY-RH71 Intel i7 2.6GHz 16GB Memory 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD GTX980M 4GB ..for 2,000.00 USD.
I can deal with that. Looks like Asus is doing the right thing. It's the retailers that are taking advantage but that should calm itself down after a while.

Looks like I'm going to have a gaming holiday season on a new machine...can't wait!

I'm not really shocked at the prices so far. I expected quite a jump as you went up as a lot of retailers are still selling the G751 W/ the 980m for well over $2500us. I don't have that much to spend on a new machine so what I've been watching for is the price on the VT models with the 970 and it looks like they are launching a model with the 970m for $1600us according to PC world. that's likely what i'm going to jump on.

The prices of the older machines (will be older machines) have to come down no? But I don't see it either. I'm wondering what kind of discounts will happen when the newer machines hit the market

hard to say. but a launch price that is below the standard selling price of the current JT with the 970 is more than enough to get my attention. I have a feeling we won't see big drops in the price of the standing stock G751s till mid holiday season.

I looked at "dh78k" wiping tears of bitterness)))

The dh78k is horribly overpriced. I guess Asus thinks that's worth the extra RAM, 8 GB 980m, and overclocking... imo, it's not. The cheapest VY has decent value though, since you can always buy more RAM and upgrade it yourself.

if you face the truth, then is unnecessary in 64GB... advantage in the processor 6820HK,but its price is $ 378,the same as in 6700hq...price for memory +32gb, +384gb ssd and +4gb gddr5 - 900$?

Guess im getting a sager, for 800 dollars less with a 980m 8gb video card and 250ssd? The hell asus?

ROG have the best design ... but ASUS begins to use his fans

Thats a big price difference for Asus to look cooler lol, In a republic of gamers Hardware>Design
