New G752 Prices...umm...Yikes?

I've been checking out a lot of sites about pricing of the new G752's coming out this month and I gotta tell ya if what I'm seeing is true I'll be looking into MSI

I don't mind paying list price for a new laptop release but some of the prices are really high. I trust Asus will not take advantage of us loyal followers and "maybe purchasers" of their new product.

We want the latest and greatest but we have limits to what we expect to shell out for a new laptop with a new skin with basically the same specs as the older machines.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep my wallet in my pocket for now...we will see

ASUS...DON'T SHOOT YOURSELF IN THE FOOT WITH THIS....PLEASE

I also checked out the prices for England..4k USD for the high end g752

no mention of the G700,,,but the more I look at that set up...the more I think it has to be a marketing gimmick...someone somewhere in a conference room said "Hey lets see if we can build a liquid cooler for this thing" and they came up with that.
I don't take that setup seriously because all it does is cool. It's more like can we really build this if we wanted to?...it doesn't add to the graphics attributes like the alienware setup does with an additional graphics card and the 20% or so boost isn't worth the cost of it

I really hope its not going to be that high because I really do love these laptops and I was planning on using one edition for a year and then selling it and upgrading to a newer one. But with prices like that, it's going to be a bit tough. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard the newer versions were suppose to have a liquid cooling system which makes it more unique then its predecessors. I guess that's where the boost in price comes from. I did, however, wanted to build a gaming pc as its cheaper and all but I barely have any room and I like portability so I'm going to have my fingers crossed that it ATLEAST stays around the 2k price range.

Never mind. I took a closer look at the specs and it shows that they come with a 8gb graphics card which is awesome and a 64 gb ram, which is really not necessary. But yh the price still seems a bit high.

Is it it just me, or are the specs really lack luster? I mean I could get an MSI Titan for $3000 Canadian, which would has way higher specs, it has a dual gtx 980 8gb in sli with go sync. I'm not really seeing the appeal here, I been waiting for the 752 and it's looking more and more for me to get the Titan.

I'd be really tempted to get that, but then again it doesn't have the same cooling effect as the Asus rog ;/. I've heard that's one of the main issues with MSI laptops is that they over heat quick. But yh I think they're doing this just for market purposes instead of actually wanting to deliver what we customers want. With that price, you might as well build a high powered gaming PC.

Am I wrong does Only Some G752 Models Have G-Sync or All?

Why would I buy a laptop for that price with a free backpack, when I could get an MSI Titan with way more power and it comes with a backpack as well as a palm rest.
It's an 18.4 inch screen, mechanical keyboard and SLI graphics.

ASUS priced themselves out of the competition for me on this one. I wanted the ROG with 4k display, and there isn't one.

From the Asus event in San Francisco today, it looks like the GX700 (the one with the water cooling dock + desktop GTX 980) will have a 4K display.
