Thunderbolt 10 Gbit/s ?!? So lame.

@Jenos, at this point is clear, Asus wants us to buy a Razer Blade: 14 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel touchscreen display, GTX 870M. Pesonally I'll wait for next gen with Maxwell (GTX 970M ?), then I'll obey "Asus wish".

My G72 is getting a little long in the tooth, might be time to finally upgrade.

Unfortunately, Optimess is a deal breaker. People don't buy a 17 inch gaming laptop for battery life; they buy it so they can game in the living room and move the laptop around the house. Optimess has tons of compatibility issues and it forces you to use the inferior integrated graphics for 2D (with its limitations such as the lack of support for proper color profiles and digital vibrance).

Err if you are referring to Optimus, it's disabled. As far as I have seen of the last couple years of ASUS ROG Laptops, they always disable it...it's not even an option to enable in BIOS, though a few people have complained about not having it, it's always disabled.

Well I stand, or in most cases, sit corrected. Guess it was a more highly demanded request than I figured, but hey...it'll be disable-able from within BIOS, most likely.

Will there be a 3D screen model included in the refresh? i was just about to pull the trigger on one of the 3D models with the 7xx series graphics cards.

Will these be releasing in Australia?, if so does anyone know a rough ETA? Thanks

Yeaaa, I bought Asus in the past because of this, they don´t use Optimus, seems my G750 will be the last Asus ROG laptop I´ll buy.

Good Luck
