Just ordered my Asus G750JS-T4123H and its gonna get to me on Sunday early morning, hopefully after all the hype and reading lots and lots of Forums and threads here, I do have to appreciate a significant helper out here on every thread and yes hmscott, you are doing a fantastic job. Kudos to you friend, just wanna point it out. I just hope I don't get a single issue in my laptops, I have had worst experience with my Alienware 14x which I bought with alot of hope and it just broke down on motherboard and then the repairs after repair, until I finally got rid of it. Now I have a Yoga Pro 2 Ultra-book maxed out top of the range so yea cant play any games on that except its very flawless and need to replace my desktop with this beast. If it works out great am gonna get rid of the YP2 too, just wondering, but yes keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi guys, reporting back. The laptop is running flawlesly since day one. I haven't had the chance to backup my windows instalation to completely wipe windows 8 and install it back. The screen, i am now used to it and it is pretty much ok. Looks like removing the color management software do the trick at least for me. I live in a pretty hot and humid environment ( Cancun ) without AC and the JS runs pretty cool.

hmscott, thanks for all the help. If someone else needs some info regarding anything about the JS just ask.

Salud.

Well I decided to change my order from Asus G750JS-T4123H to an ASUS ROG G750JZ –T4105H the JZ model is the top end with the highest possible specs till date. Mainly because I already had a plan to upgrade the memory on the JS to 32 GB and get an SSD, but then when I thought about it, I said why not go with JZ with the all the top end specs there is including the 4 GB GFX 880m, 4710HQ proc, 32 GB, 512 GB SSD + 1.5TB, etc so now this will most likely reach to me by Monday noon, having my fingers crossed again, lets see can't wait :)!!

I was inches away from buying the G750JM. Thank god i found this forum and didn't spend my hard earned money on this laptop that appears to have so many problems. I own an ASUS laptop but it's a much cheaper version and did good for last 3 years. Based on previous experience with ASUS i was ready to put my neck that they do great products, but now after i red many reviews of this (not so cheap laptop) it looks like they got rid of the quality control department or something. It's unacceptable to have so many issues with a 1200 euros device (the price in my country). You don't just take the best components out there and throw them in a laptop hopping to hit the jackpot. For this money has to be a pleasant experience for users not only by specs, but also with every other aspects, like looks, build quality, support. I guess its less likely to have a faulty device if i buy a second hand alienware.

I am not sure what problems are you referring to? Faulty Factory Machines or new machines without any hardware flaws. Ofcourse if the hardware is faulty there will be problems in the machine/performance as in all. However that's a very rare and minute level which you can expect from any Manufacturer, take it Alienware, MSI, Lenovo, any of those. Just to let you know I have had worst experiences with Alienware, MSI products, especially Alienware 7 month battle (motherboard issue after one day turning up laptop 2 months usage it just wont boot up) until the refund finally. I just got my G750JZ top end specs, have had zero flaws with it, and kept my fingers crossed when buying it, I have just uninstalled Splendid and that's about it. These machines are beasts as many before me say and yes the performance is just marvelous coming from a laptop and not a desktop to this extent where you wonder to through the desktop out if your not touching it at all and just keep this, the quality of laptop itself is amazing, much cheaper then Alienware and much effective to last more as well. All in all, any manufacturer can have defective products, however that's a rare chance.

Hi everyone!
I've purchased Asus G750JM few days ago (8gb ram, 750gb HDD), installed SDD Intel 520 (120Gb) from previous Asus G74SX as a boot drive, with ASUS Backtracker made SDD works on Windows 8.1 and everything was good...
But the problem is that BIOS not recognise HDD which I've put into HDD tray 1. BIOS was upgraded to 207 - no changes. Latest drivers on chipset are installed in Windows 8.1. Both hard drivers (750gb HDD and 120 gb SDD) are work in HDD tray 0, with no remarks. I've read all topics in this forum but it seems that some guys have problems only with cloning HDD/SDD, recovering Windows. etc. Is in possible that second HDD tray is not connected properly to the power supply?

P.S sorry for my English.
