Need Help With Installing Modded BIOS 223 For G75VW, NVIDIA 670M

I found the modded BIOSes 221 and 223 for the G75VW at http://forum.techinferno.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/2538-%5Bg75vw%5D-modified-bios-vbios-higher-..., as well as another topic about it here on these forums. I want to use the 223 unlocked OC edition BIOS.

It looks like the creator optimized it for use on the 660M version of the G75VW, but I have the 670M version. He does say it can be used on the 670M but that it will not increase gaming performance as much.

So I downloaded all the files (modded BIOS file, Intel flash tool, and the BIOSFixer), and then put them in the same folder. Then I ran backup.bat as Admin and a CMD window appeared on my screen for a sec and then disappeared. So I looked to see if it created a backup file and couldn't find anything in the folder. W/O the backed-up BIOS file I cant use/run the BIOSFixer, since it requests the backup.

I can run the Intel flash tool (the files contained in fptw64.zip) but am utterly confused on what to do at that point. It just displays a long list of parameters, and after trying every possible option and checking the help I just cant figure out which one is correct to use. I'm sure I need to use it to dump my BIOS (backup) before attempting to flash anything.

Also, does the BIOSes listed just OC the NVIDIA card, or the CPU as well? I know that CPU OCing can be dangerous on a laptop, and have read up on it enough. What I've seen says it can be done /w a modded BIOS by gradually increasing certain values there. I've also read elsewhere that CPU OCing can be done by using SetFSB to incrementally increase the bus speed until a combo of stability and speed is achieved, and then running diagnostics tests to make sure everything works OK. And I know it can be done with certain software too. I don't want to overdo anything but I figure that a small boost wont hurt, nothing extreme or far out.

Thanks for any help!

@ DanishKid: You're obviously not trying to help. Maybe give a little constructive criticism, or at least help set me on the right path for where to go for more info? If not then leave this thread alone.

@ cheek: I've looked into core-unparking before, as well as EVGA and Afterburner. I'm just looking for something more, to get the last bit of oomph out of my system. I'm not particularly concerned if my laptop gets trashed in the process, I consider everything a learning experience. Besides, I buy a new one every 6 to 12 months and have plenty of cash to burn now. Besides, it's just BIOS-flashing, I can always flash back to stock BIOS if I don't like what I see.

Thanks for any help!

Enigma, do not use the GTX 660M version because this version contains the GTX 660m vBIOS and not the GTX 670m vBIOS, you could potentially run into a GPU Bios error and your laptop won't start_ If you can send me a backup of your Original SYSTEM BIOS on your laptop and if you can locate a modified GTX 670m vBios that is made for the G75VW laptops then I can help create a custom BIOS for you to flash that will work with your laptop_ But do send me a copy of your System BIOS, I can try to see if I can modify the GTX 670m vbios on your System bios for you, I can't guarantee it, but I can surely look into it.

Once again, I advise you to please not use the bios you are trying to flash that has the GTX 660M vBIOS_ the reason being is that ASUS has implemented the GPU BIOS into the SYSTEM BIOS too, so that means both BIOS are together as ONE, where as on a desktop and some other laptops the GPU BIOS is on the GPU card, while the System BIOS is on the motherboard.

I'm sure its not a good idea to flash a GTX 660M vBIOS onto a GTX670M vBIOS as this will most likely cause your laptop to brick or your GPU to not function.
