Haven't tried another TV, but the TV won't detect the laptop. The HDMI port it is connected to is greyed out, so you can't change to it. I plugged in my xbox so I could switch to hdmi 1 then put my laptop into hdmi 1 and it worked but hdmi 1 was still greyed and said there was no signal even though you could see the desktop on the TV. It's strange. I just want my hdmi port to stop being greyed out
