My ROG G56JR is still under repair even after 1 month! HELP PLS!

Hi guys,

I truly need you guys help!

As you can see from the picture above, I've send my laptop to Asus Service Center at Plaza Low Yat for warranty on 26th September 2014 due to overheating issue. I bought this laptop on the 23rd August 2014, therefore this laptop is brand new. Its been more than 3 weeks that the status "Wait for material / spare parts" hasn't change.

I even called the customer service earlier and asked what is wrong with my laptop, the staff said that the service center gotta change my motherboard and it takes 2 weeks for the motherboard to come from Taiwan.

Last week, I message the service center to follow up. They replied that they are still waiting for materials / spare parts as shown in image above. The image above also shows that I'm still a student and I bought this laptop for assignments and projects purposes other than gaming. I even asked for the estimated time to complete repairing my laptop but to no reply.

Please guide me through as this is the first time I experience such services and I really need the laptop ASAP. I am actually mad but I'm trying my best to keep my cool as it is not worth going to the service center to create a big fuss.

If you guys got any better solution, please tell me! I am open to all solutions other than shouting at them! 😞

Hi dtkj1992,

Sorry to hear that repair has not gone better.
Although it's not going to be easy for me to help from the U.S., I'll try to get more people involved if you're interested.

You probably want to continue following up with the repair center regularly (will let you decide how often) just to remind them about your notebook and continue posting updates here as well. Other people may have suggestions too.

Anyway, if you would like me to look into it, can you please send me a private message (PM) at cl-Albert with the information below?
1. Notebook Serial Number
2. RMA Number
3. Full name, email, and phone number used for the RMA Number
4. Contact names of anybody you are working with at the Repair Center

Thanks!
