My new G75VW is randomly shutting down

Hey guys, I just purchased a G75VW and it seems to be randomly shutting down on me. I checked the settings in Windows 8 and am pretty sure that hibernation is disabled. It was the last one on clearance so an exchange isn't possible. Any ideas as far as troubleshooting goes? It seems to shutdown randomly whether it's while I'm playing a game or just browsing the web and I have to manually power it back on. Thanks in advance!

Did someone solved it? I have the same problem. Ram look ok and always happen when using chrome. Temperature is just normal. I don't want to send it to customer support, because in Italy it suck!

Try removing Power4Gear, InstantOn and LiveUpdate. I feel like one of these may be causing an issue. I've removed these 2 months ago and I haven't seen these problems since then. I don't know exactly which one could have been causing it, but it's worth a try to remove some of these extra applications. Most of these applications have a built in Windows feature to replace them.

this occurs from InstantOn software. I don't know why or when it occurs it but when I charge my laptop, and unplugged "while its off" and turn it on, lets say my battery isn't fully charged so it's sitting at 80% give it few minutes and it will shut down. this occurs rarely actually

I've been getting these random shutdowns too (happened two times, got my laptop back in the beginning of March). I know it's not an overheating issue since it happens while I'm doing some random browsing, and a temperature app stated that the temp is around 50 degrees Celsius at the time of the shutdown.

Though I've done some browsing around these forums and followed some advice of removing InstantOn, Power4Gear, and LiveUpdate. Hopefully this solves the issue and it isn't related to a hardware problem.
