my laptop often fails to recover from hybernation

I usually prefer to use hybernation instead of shutting down because it lets me keep my folders and files open where I left them.

What has started to happen somewhere after updating to windows 8.1 (I also updated the graphics drivers) is that the laptop shows me the ROG logo when I turn it back on, but then sticks to a black screen. The SSD/HDD is constantly running but nothing happens. Eventually it either reboots or forces me to shut it off. This happens about half of the times I turn it on from hybernation. Any hints?

Try the official ASUS nVidia drivers from the support.asus.com website. I think the version is 311.93. These drivers were modified to fit the needs of the G750. The ones from the nVidia website are better for gaming, but issues arise (specially the new R331... they are a pos)

if this thing persists, you might do hybernation/sleep via the Power4Gear software (very stable build, when comparing to the one my old ROG G1S had). I do regular sleep with 2 second load up (it is AMAZING!)
