my keyboard doesn't work (G531GT)

After installing the hotfix on the asus website my keyboard doesn't work anymore.

I've tried countless things and nothing has worked

If still under warranty, return the laptop, for repair, replacement, or refund.

Was your laptop purchased in another country without OS?

Windows 10

Plug-in an external keyboard, copy your important data to a USB, include a copy of the eSupport Folder, format your OS drive, install a fresh copy of Windows 10, then using the ASUS Installation Wizard found in the eSupport Folder, install all the original ASUS drivers and programs, then allow Windows 10 to update itself.

If you are unable to perform the above, then i"m afraid you screwed-up the laptop beyond repair and will require a new motherboard to sort out all the misery.

Or, take the laptop to someone who can manage the repairs.

You mean the entire keyboard not working or only few keys not working?? Try to troubleshoot in device manger.
