ok so i bought the my G75VW from xotic pc and they put dimand thermal paste on it and a Intel ultimate-N wireless card and more ram but i have only had my laptop for about 5 months and now it has completely gave out oh forgot to tell you xotic pc overclock the card i was getting artifacting so i turned of the clock like the 2 week into having the build. the card always crashed when overclocked and sometimes at standard clock. so yeah i was playing "i Am Alive" and the card gave out i had to stick the windows disk in and repair windows then i noticed the video card was not working so i re-installed the latest drivers from nvidia so restarted and still doing the same thing. saying device has crashed because of a malfunction. can anyone tell me what i should do should i contact xotic pc or Asus?

Since it's a custom build, you need to talk to Xotic.

Once you move past the stock ASUS parts your laptop warranty is now handled by the reseller.

In some cases the reseller will actually void your warranty and instead put their own warranty on your product.

Be sure you re-read the warranty terms of the exotic retailers like Xotic.

Based on my experience, you'll RMA through Xotic, ship to Xotic, and then they'll ship to ASUS, who will then do repairs, who will then ship back to Xotic, who will then double-check repairs, and then ship back to you.

It's all very convoluted and time consuming.

But normally such a modified unit wouldn't be accepted for RMA repairs at all, so regardless of anything else, it's all done on someone else's dime.

That's just what Xotic has told me (I'm currently RMAing my G75 through them). On that note, don't be surprised if my computer rolls into ASUS warehouses soon...
